William S (Bill) Gilbert, 71, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 7th, 2024. Bill is survived by his wife, Paula, of Elk, WA, as well as by his daughter, Jennifer Lee Gilbert, of Olympia, WA, sisters, Ann (John) Palmer of Vashon, WA and Alice Gilbert-Thomas of Bainbridge, WA. In addition, Bill is survived by Paula's children Chad (Mistie) Lamb of Santa Barbara CA, Alisa (Terry) Pangle of Post Falls, ID, and Shane Lamb of Mapleton, ME. Bill was loved and respected and our family was blessed by all our time together.

Bill's entire career was spent in Fisheries Management, where he was well respected.
