Born May 7, 1932, to Everette Burcham and Ester Hanson Burcham in Spokane, Washington. She had a sister Margaret Gray, a brother Cecil Eugene Burcham, ana a sister Dorothy Lake. Her parents and siblings all preceded her in death.
Virginia White was married to Harry Joseph White September 15, 1949. He proceeded her in death in 2003. They had five children: Larry White, Polly Schultz, Timothy White, Andrew White, and Wilma Hahn. There are 18 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
Virginia was a valedictorian graduate of Cusick high School in 1949, and during that time a secretary of the superintendent of Cusick. After graduation, she was employed as a stenographer for H.A. Sewell and J.A Sewell, Engineers, of Newport. In January 1964, she enrolled in her first college classes at Whitworth commuting from Dalkena, WA. Virginia was a member of the Dalkena Church for most of her adult life, and she advocated others in knowing Jesus personally. She was supportive of education all her life, and she instilled this into her children and grandchildren. Her spirit of resilience and love has been handed down to the next generations. One of her favorite flowers was a Forget-Me-Not, and we will not forget the love, devotion, humor, resilience, and giving heart of our mom and grandma.
