Terri Lee Olson

Terri was born Terri Lee Upton on December 19 ^th 1950 to Delores Carr and William Upton at Brewster, Washington. She unexpectedly died March 8 ^th 2022 at her home in Newport.

Terri spent her early years in Republic, Washington then came to the Elk, Washington area to be raised by her Aunt Val and Uncle Jack Pluid. While there she attended Riverside High School through her Junior year. Terri loved horses and farm life and went on to become the Pend Orielle County Rodeo Queen in 1967. Upon attending her senior year at Newport High School she met the love of her life Bjorn (Buzz) Olso and they married in 1969 following graduation.

Terri was a very industrious person who partnered with her husband to enjoy the adventures in life. She helped manage several large sheep operations traveling from Washington to Eastern Oregon, Illinois, and Southern Idaho before moving back to the Blanchard, Idaho area to care for ailing parents. Later she worked at the Stoneridge Resort in admissions for many years. Nearing retirement Terri and Buzz acquired a small farm near Furport, Washington where they resided until her untimely death.

Soul mates forever, they were blessed with three wonderful children: Bjorn Jr. (Janina), Shawn (Dawn), and Cassandra (Tim) Kirk. They were further blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Terri loved them all so much as she really loved life and life loved her as the great number of friends and family attest to. She also loved her animals, especially her dogs: Rosie, Biscuit, Honey, and Goose.

The wondrous privilege she attained came in 1983 when she dedicated her life to the True God Jehovah.

The Newport Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses was her absolute second family and she absolutely loved them all and touched many lives for the better. Terri had a strong and unwavering hope in the resurrection that Jesus promised, and we will someday see her among our many loved ones. Terri will be greatly missed as we await being reunited.

A memorial to Terri for family and friends will take place at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and will be announced in the near future.
