Susan Eileen Bauer-Hatfield (Peterson), 77, of Priest River, Idaho, left us peacefully on Friday April 11th. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Susan, or "Susie," will always be remembered for her kindness and positive outlook on life. Born on November 17th, 1947, in Spokane WA, she moved with her family to the Priest River area in 1957 at the age of 10. Susie grew up with two sisters and three brothers, she was the oldest of the siblings: Margie Shoptaw, Kathy Moore, Jimmy Peterson, Marty Glabb and Monte Glabb. She will always be remembered for her kindness and giving to the community in so many social and civic organizations. Most recently in her church at Laclede, where her passion for singing was renewed. Albeit her favorite was her group of ladies that gathered once a month for the last 50 plus years to play "Bunco". Susan is survived by her husband, Bob Hatfield, her oldest son Ernest Bauer and two stepdaughters, Kim Caley and Michele Ferris. Her grandchildren are Robert and Rebecca Bauer, Madison Ferris, Haley Martin, and 2 great grandchildren. She will be joining her first husband, John Bauer, her youngest son Ron Bauer and sister Kathy Moore in heaven above. There will be a Family Graveside Service on May 3, 2025 9 AM at Seneacquoteen Cemetery Celebration of life at the Priest River Event Center May 31, 2025 at 11:30 AM
