Obituary

Hartman, Steve T.

Age 69

May 23, 1952 – June 03, 2021

Steve joined our loved ones in Heaven on June 03, 2021, after a 2½ year battle with chondrosarcoma bone cancer. He passed away after only 2 days at a Hospice Home in Spokane with his wife at his side.

Steve was born in Spokane, WA where he spent his entire life. He attended North Central High School, SFCC, SCC, and EWU. In High School, he made 1 st team all-city in football and baseball. He loved playing softball, basketball and, in later years, golf.

Steve was the Manager at Demar, a wholesale flooring business, for 25+ years. He was well liked by customers and professionals in the flooring industry. He was a beloved member of the Spokane Home Builders Association.

Traveling was thoroughly enjoyed by Steve. The many trips to the Oregon coast, Mexico, Hawaii, and other areas hold treasured memories.

Anyone who knew Steve would tell you about his willingness to always talk about sports. This was especially true for Gonzaga basketball. He could tell facts about all the players and those on other teams. He was an avid sports fan.

Steve was married 42 years to the love of his life, Nona. They lived on Diamond Lake in Newport, WA. He loved living on the lake, boating, swimming, and watching the activity and the beautiful sunsets. Steve is survived by his son, Ryan (Ashley), brother Mike (Kathy) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He lived a long, good life and was always healthy up to getting cancer. He will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, please honor Steve with a donation to the Sarcoma Foundation of America or another cancer organization of your choice.

Sherman-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Services in Priest River is in charge of arrangements.  Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at shermancampbell.com .
