Shirley Rice, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, in Sandpoint Idaho, at the age of 96.

Born on January 19, 1929 in Coos county, Oregon.  Shirley was a woman of quiet strength and deep love, and enduring dedication to her family.  She married the love of her life, Rollin C. Rice on October 31, 1949, in the state of Montana.  Together, they built a life centered around love, resilience, and the values of family and community.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rollin in 2012 and her eldest son Ron in 2015.

She is survived by her children Gerald Rice, Laura Manning and Joel Rice.  She also leaves behind a cherished legacy of 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom carry her love and spirit forward.

Shirley will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her kind heart, and her strong presence.  She leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family deeply grateful for the years shared with her.
