Ronald James Morrow

Ron left this world peacefully on May 28th 2022 to join his beautiful wife Dolores in heaven.
Ron was born in Priest River Idaho on February 20th 1941 to parents Merlie and Frances Morrow. Ron
and Dee married on July 30th 1976, and on July 22nd 1980 they welcomed their daughter Rondee Marie
Morrow into the world. In the years to come Rondee blessed Ron and Dee with 3 beautiful
grandchildren that they loved whole heatedly. Years later Ron and Dee together were blessed with 3
great grandchildren, they brought so much joy to their lives.
Ron grew up in a family that spent their time together traveling the states to logger celebrations and
competing together as a family. Over the years Ron, his parents along with his 3 sisters as a family
brought home many trophies, ribbons and a lot of good stories to share with friends and family. Ron and
his dad Merlie took 3 rd place in the world championships held in Hayward, Wisconsin. He was very proud
of this accomplishment and was always proud to tell you "Not everyone can say they took 3 rd in a world
championship logging competition."
After high school Ron worked at the PL as a smoke chaser, he was drafted into the military at the age of
25 and served 2 years in the army as a military police officer. Arriving back home he worked at a local
saw mill before taking a job with the Bonner County Road Department March 1 st 1980. Ron became road
foreman in 1988 and continued his career making sure the roads were safe throughout the winter and
well maintained for safe bus travel for the school kids. He retired in 2003, years after retirement he
went back to work driving dump truck for local excavation companies and then went on running
excavator piling brush in the woods until 2020.
Ron enjoyed life to the fullest, he took so much pride in his family, friends and work. He enjoyed playing
guitar along with other family members playing the banjo. He was a 60 year masonic member and a
charter member of Kaniksu lodge #97. He enjoyed riding motorcycles starting in his early 20's riding his
triumph on through the years into his 70's riding Harley with friends and family. Summers were spent
with Dee, Rondee, and family, camping, canoeing, hiking, four wheeling, boating, and at the end of the
day enjoying banjo music or old country music around the fire with a cold MGD. Ron alongside of his
wife Dee enjoyed cruises and vacations to warmer weather. Ron was part of a pool league and enjoyed
playing pool with his friends at Lou's Place and the Fall's Inn. Ron lived a long life full of love, fun, and
adventure with family and friends by his side.
Ron is survived by his daughter Rondee (Gordy Cook) his grandchildren Derrik, Dalaynee, and Carter
Cook. His great grandchildren, Tucker, Sam and Dallas Rose. His sisters Muriel Yeaw (Chuck Yeaw) Lavon
Bowden and Nancy Oscarson. Sister in-law  Susan White-Yeaw (Gary Yeaw) Rena Brooks (Dave Brooks)
Marlea Bodecker (Wade Bodecker) Along with many nieces and nephews.
Ron is proceeded in death by his wife Dolores Morrow, his parents Merlie and Frances Morrow, along
with many other friends and loved ones.
A celebration of Ron's life will be held Saturday September 24th - 11AM at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho.
