Richard H Speidell passed away June 20,2025. In his home in Blanchard, ID, from a massive heart attack.  Richard was born November 4, 1944 in Newark, NJ. He was raised in Millburn NJ. During high school he was on the men's gymnastics team. After high school he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. He proudly joined the US Navy in 1964-1968. He was a radio man aboard the USS Joseph K Taussig. In 1969 he began his 33-year career in produce. In 1965 he married Bonnie Leigh Lederer. They welcomed 3 children.  And raised them for several years in his childhood home in Millburn.  In 1986 he moved the family to Visalia Ca. Working as the west coast director of produce for Topco. In 2002 he moved to Essex Montana to manage his brother Allan's guest ranch, with his wife Bonnie, daughter Kim her Husband Darren and 4 grand-kids.  Bonnie passed away in 2004. In 2005 he met Gayle Williams. In 2009 they moved to her home in Sandpoint, ID. In 2020 they moved to Blanchard ID.

His death precedes his father Henry, his mother viola, brothers Henry, Allan, Paul and wife Bonnie.

He is survived by Brother Walter Virginia.  Son Richard (wife Annette) Florida.  Scott Speidell (wife Shannon) Idaho. Daughter Kimberly (husband Darren) Idaho.  9 grandchildren. 6 great grandchildren &Life partner Gayle Williams.

A Funeral service with military honors will be held at Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home in Newport, WA at 423 W. 2nd Street in Newport, WA on Wednesday July 2nd at 1PM sharp. Richard will be interred at the Washington State Veteran's Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
