Rebecca (Becky) Jo MacArthur, 66 of Old Town, ID., passed away unexpectedly January 15, 2025. She was born in Conrad, MT., June 28, 1958 to Theodore and Peggy Lakman (Langman). Becky graduated from Selkirk High School in Ione, WA in 1976. She later went on to receive her Associate in Nursing through Spokane Community College, and worked as an RN in many of the local hospitals and nursing facilities in the area until her retirement. She married the love of her life, Andrew MacArthur, in July of 1974. Their marriage of 50 years was one of her proudest accomplishments. Their relationship was one of mutual love, respect, trust, and support. The enduring love they shared saw them through many years of happiness and some of life's greatest challenges. Becky enjoyed gardening, crafting, and raising her goats and chickens in her years of retirement, but her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She thoroughly enjoyed attending their many activities whether it be basketball games, football games, piano recitals, dance recitals, birthday parties or holiday celebrations. If her beautiful family was present, she was at her happiest. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered and continued through her children and grandchildren. She is, and will always be, deeply missed. She was survived by her husband, Andy; daughter Autumn (Mike) Abbott; son Andrew MacArthur Jr.; son Zeke (Halee) MacArthur; sister Kim Mahaffey; and grandchildren, Tristan (Carissa), Madison, Sydney, Andrew III, Caroline, Eevawn, Maria, Wyatt, Jozee, Waylon and Weston. She was preceded in death by her son Lucas MacArthur; brother William Lakman; and her parents Ted and Peggy Lakman. Per Becky's request a service will not be held. There will be a private Family Remembrance at a later date Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home in Newport WA is in charge of arrangements.
