Patrick Alan Scott

January 30, 1965 – December 26, 2022

Patrick Alan Scott of Newport passed away December on 26, 2022 with his children by his side.

Pat was born January 30, 1965 in Newport Washington to Alan and Phyllis Scott and joined older brother Michael at their home in Oldtown Idaho.

Patrick Graduated from Priest River High School in 1983 and went on to attend Ron Bailys School of Broadcasting. He moved to Raymond Washington for a short period to start his career as a DJ. He then moved back to the Oldtown area where he went to work for KMJY. Most people knew him for "Hello KMJY Job Line Swap and Shop would you like to go on the air". He would leave KMJY and work for Acers is Spokane for a short period before getting a job at Pend Oreille Newsprint where he would work until he was forced to retire in 2022 due to his health.

He married Cherie Heintzelman in 1996 and gained a pre-made family with Cherie's two Children Kimberley and Michael whom he loved as his own. On February 24 ^th of 1997 they welcomed a son, Kristopher. They would later divorce.

Pat is survived by his Children Kimberley Dumaw, Michael Dumaw, , Kristopher (and Chanice) Scott, grandson Hayden, Brother Gene "Chet" (and Becky) , Nieces Catherine, Crystal, and Kendell, nephews Corey, and Garrett. He was preceded in death by his Father Alan, Mother Phyllis, Brothers Michael, Tommy, Kevin, Merle, and nephew Shane.

If you knew Pat, you knew he was a bit of a procrastinator, so it is only fitting that this Obituary has taken so long.

It is hard to sum up Pat's life in such a small space but have no doubt Pat was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

A service will be held at a later date when the weather is better, and we can be outside.
