Nyla Jean Ray, 76, of Priest River, Idaho, died September 24, 2022, at Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington.

She was born on July 28, 1946, to Fay Snodgrass and Agnes Hadac in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

She married Floyd Ervin Howell on August 1, 1964 and they had seven children, two from prior marriage: Tolly, Linda, Darla, Rodney, Sharon, Mari, David. After Floyd died, she married Lonnie Glenn Ray on December 9, 1989 and he had three children from a prior marriage: Lisa, Kevin, Stacy.

She enjoyed embroidery, ceramics, camping, and, most of all, telling stories and spending time with her family.

Nyla is survived by her spouse Lonnie; her children Tolly, Linda, Darla, Rod, Shari, Mari, Dave, Lisa, Kevin, Stacy; her 22 grandchildren; and her 36 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her spouse Floyd, father Fay, mother Agnes, and siblings Leonard, Merlin, Elaine, and Joan.

The memorial service will be 11 AM October 8 ^th , 2022 at Laclede Community Church in Laclede, Idaho with Pastor Josh Jones officiating.

Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name.

Nyla loved and served God with all her heart. Her final wish was for everyone to know and serve the Lord so she may see them again
