Obituary

Nancy Jane Winterfield (Cool) went to be with the lord on 9-16-21. Jane, as she was known by her family and friends was born on Dec. 14, 1939 to Creed & Velma Cool in Webster Springs West Virginia, the third of four children. She moved with her family to North Ridgeville Ohio at the age of 13 and there she met the love of her life, Don Winterfield. They were married on June 16, 1960 and have spent over 61 years together. Their life together has been an incredible journey, full of adventure, lots of love and laughter!  They raised 5 children, who have given them 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  After a number of years in Ohio, they decided it was time to head west. They packed up their belongings, loaded a camp trailer and 5 kids to travel across the United States, camping the entire way looking for the perfect place to call home. They landed in Newport, WA where they purchased property on Spring Valley Road with only a 2-room cabin, outhouse and woodshed on it! They have built 4 homes on that property and have lived there for over 50 years! Jane leaves a legacy of love and good home cooking to all who knew her. She always had room at her table for one more plate. Each of her children and grandchildren has their favorite meal and favorite cookie that no one can make like Grandma Jane! She will be missed immensely, but never far from our hearts. Her love of family has taken deep root in each of her children, and we will all treasure the time we had with her on this earth. Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Velma & Creed Cool and her sister, Elma Cucuzza. She leaves behind her husband, Don, 5 children; Clint & Janna Winterfield, Dona & Dale Storro, Sandra & David Bussler, Bill Winterfield, and Dana & Shane Douglas; Grandchildren; Bryce Howe, Kristy & Joey Delatore, Allysha & Kenny Dillon, Kyle Winterfield, Aaron & Nicci Storro, Shandell Bussler, Tyler & Morgan Douglas, Andrew Storro, Karly & Dylan Kurylo, Anthony Storro & Donny Winterfield; Great grandchildren; Spencer, Jackson, Addison, Chase, Emersyn, Rafael, Leighton, Kaden and 2 babies on the way; Brother, John "Sonny" Cool & Diane, Huron Ohio, sister Martha Klammer, Elyria Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Jane's influence on her children and grandchildren will be felt for generations. Her love of family and home will never be forgotten.  There will be a FAMILY ONLY service on September 25.  Sherman-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Services in Newport is in charge of arrangements.  Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at shermancampbell.com .
