Nancy L Strand (Zigler)

Nancy was born on Nov. 3, 1937 in Newport WA to Ted and Stella Zigler.  She passed away on May 30th, 2025 from injuries received in a car accident.

She grew up on a small farm west of Cusick, WA. and graduated from High School there in 1956.

Nancy loved horses and was an accomplished rider and trainer.  She was P.O. county Rodeo Queen in 1954.  In High School she was a cheerleader for several years and active in many school activities.  She worked many years for Montgomery Wards and became a manager for a store in Auburn.  Later she worked for a credit union before retiring back to Eastern WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband Duane.  She is survived and truly loved by her daughter Vickie and her 3 grand-kids, Kari, James and Felisha along with 4 great grand-kids and sister Patsy Wold (Zigler) and her nephew Mike Mykines.

There is a memorial service planned for noon on Aug 23rd, 2025 at the Usk Community Hall.  Please join us in a celebration of her life.
