Obituary

Nancy Taylor Gilson, 80, of Kettle Falls, Washington, passed away on Feb. 8, 2020.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 11am at the LDS church in Colville, Washington (260 E Juniper Ave.). Viewing will begin at 10am.

She will be buried on Monday, Feb. 17, at Genesee City Cemetery in Genesee, Idaho.

Nancy was born in Long Beach, California to Benjamin and Grace Anderson on 21 November 1939.  She enjoyed working with animals in 4-H and was a competitive equestrian and swimmer.  She graduated from Fullerton High School after which she attended the University of Idaho where she met the love of her life, John.  They were married on 5 April 1958 in Moscow, Idaho.  They had eight children while living in Idaho, Washington, Alberta, Arizona and Utah.  They bought the 8 Bar B Motel in 1995 and managed it off and on for many years.

Nancy loved people and was known for her generosity and service.  She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.

Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Gwendolyn and son, George and her parents.

Nancy is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, John; her sons, Forrest and his wife, Sylvia; Clifford and his wife Sherri; Ben and his wife Tamar; Glen and his wife Jamie; Dane and his wife Jennifer; her daughter, Lynda and her husband Domingo Pesquera; her sisters Susan and JoAnn as well as 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be six of her grandsons, Jethro and Xylon Pesquera, and Elias, Nathaniel, Andrew and Calvin Gilson.

Memorials may be given to Shriner's or St Jude's Hospitals.
