It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Melinda Leann Larion. Melinda, 34, born in Soldotna, Alaska, passed away on March 3, 2024. Born on October 11, 1989, Melinda was the beloved daughter of Fred and Barbra Larion.
Melinda spent most of her life in Alaska and was a devoted mother, finding immense joy in her two children, Ryder and Mason. She cherished her family above all else. She was fiercely loyal and protective to those she loved and found fulfillment in creating a loving home for them.
Throughout her life, Melinda had a deep affection for animals. She was often bringing home a new pet ( or 2 or 3) to raise or nurse back to health. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her own family, touching the lives of countless furry companions.
Melinda also had a profound love for the outdoors, sharing adventures with her children, Ryder and Mason and also her niece Alyssa, and nephew Freddy. She found solace in hiking, fishing, and exploring the natural wonders of Alaska, creating cherished memories with her family.
Melinda leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love. She is survived by her sons Ryder age 9 and Mason age 7, her mother Barbara, her brother Lance, niece Alyssa age 8, nephew Freddy age 6, grandparents Dave and Sylvia Betz, her uncles Brian (Yolanda), David and Mike, her aunts Brenda and Sheri and many cousins.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her father Fred and grandparents Brian and Sharon Larion.
A memorial service to celebrate Melinda's life will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 2 pm the Dalkena Community Church where all who knew her are welcome to pay their respects. A potluck reception will follow the service, providing an opportunity for family and friends to share memories and support one another
