Mary Ellen Van Unen there are no words that could ever describe how amazing and wonderful you truly were.

Mary Ellen "Percey" Van Unen (Thomas) of Preist River, Idaho, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2023.

Mary was born on September 8, 1952 to Regina and Dave Thomas in Galveston, TX.  Her family had moved to Washington state where she bloomed as a waitress/ server at the Chicken Hut soon to move up to Sambos. There she was given an opportunity and moved upward to start her maritime law career. Federated American helped her advance all the way to CFO of Pacific Claim inc. which was who allowed her to retire young. She married the love of her life Larry Lee Van Unen and for 43 years they enjoyed each other. She got to travel and explore many places including the Caribbean, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Cozumel, London, and much more.

Mary loved to dance, drag race, go to the casino, travel in the motor home, and do her crafts. She was active in the vintage car club and also with the dog rescue. She had special bonds many animals. (Carl, Maltese Max, Si, Izzy and more)

Mary Ellen was a remarkable person known for her kindness, love, tact, loyalty, understanding, honesty, trustworthiness, tact, love, compassion, and hard work. She lived with passion and integrity in everything she did and accomplished. Her family was her number one asset.

She was survived by her husband Larry Lee Van Unen, Daughter Jennifer Van Unen ( Anthony Hollenbeck and wife Katherine) Ginger and Pat DeWitt (Justin,Dayton, Rylee, and Brayden) Leslie and Angel Peavey (Austin and Hunter) Jenna Van Unen (Cody and Jaycee) her brothers, Victor Thomas, Keith Thomas married to Beth Thomas, Donney Thomas. Sister Tina-Marie Olund married to Ken Olund (Kasanda and Johnathan)Her Uncle Lester Palahniuk ( Kimmie, Kelsey, and Kevin)

She had 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who all loved her unconditionally as she loved them all.

May you rest in the heavens as our newly born angel. We love you.
