Mary Eugenia Smith, 64, of Priest River, Idaho passed away on October 3, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving husband and two stepchildren. She was born May 9, 1960 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Carl J. Studer and Anna T. De Cook.
Mary was a member of the National Honor Society. She was appointed to the United States Air Force Academy and received an honorable discharge. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Eastern Washington University with a major in computer science and a minor in mathematics. Mary loved her off grid life of 35 years and had a strong love of flowers.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, John Smith; two stepchildren William and Chrystal; son-in-law Curtis; two grandchildren Forest and Dylon; three sisters Ria, Mona, and Ruthie; her half-sister Erica; and her step-mother Michele Miroff.
Mary is preceded in death by both her parents, her brother Carl Jr., and her half-brother Edward.
