Marjorie "Marge" Ann Helgeson, 70 passed away peacefully December 20, 2021, at her home in Newport, Wa. with her husband at her side.

She was born May 17, 1951, in Harmony, Pa. to Fredrick & Helen Hufnagel, the 8th of 9 children. She graduated from Slippery Rock high school.  She lived in Florida, Wisconsin, & now Washington. She married Henry Helgeson April 25, 2009, in Sheboygan, WI. She is survived by her husband Henry, 3 daughters Kimberly (John) Petrich, Jacqueline Hinds, Barbara, (Don) Hinds-Cook.  Three Stepsons, Bradley, (Leslea) Helgeson, Corey (Jacquie) Helgeson, & Troy Helgeson.16 grandchildren, Calvin, Alison, & Silas Petrich, Althea, Phaedra, & Eliason Hinds- Cook, Caleeb, Mara, Jonah, Ava, & Asher Helgeson, Nat, Kaylin, & Carter Helgeson, Josh & Lily Helgeson.

She loved gardening and the outdoors motorcycling, With one memorable trip to Pennsylvania then up to the baseball hall of fame in Cooperstown NY and then back here.  Hiking, reading & bird watching, she was a master Gardener with the Pend Oreille master gardeners helping with all the fund raising and taking care of the demo garden, teaching classes, the booth at the fair.  Subbing. at the school kitchens.  And having a booth at the Newport Farmers market. She also served 20 years in the Naval Reserves. retiring as a Second Class storekeeper.

Viewing will be held at Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29th from 12-5 PM located at 423 West 2nd Street, Newport, WA 99156.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, December 30th at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Newport, WA at 11AM followed by burial at Newport Cemetery afterwards.
