Marguerite JoAnn Schmidt, age 78, of Newport, Washington passed away on May 16, 2020. She was born May 4, 1942 to Chet and Wilda Proctor, in Newport,Washington.

Marguerite worked many years as a bookkeeper for Courtesy Chevrolet, Kondo's Hardware and  later for Jackson Ford Motors, where she retired. Besides reading, she enjoyed playing pinochle with the ladies and looked forward to the monthly birthday celebrations with her friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Proctor. She is survived by her Aunt Peggy Justice, two sisters, Patsy Neal and Mary Alice Brittin, two sons Dennis (Lynetta) Bigness, Darin Bigness, and daughter Jennifer Bigness. Her 5 grandchildren, Casey (Alyssa) Caudill, Shelby (Eric) Rose, Kelsy (Jesse) Houser, Ellie Murphy and Gabrielle Williams. Her 3 great-grandsons, Grady Caudill, Rusty Caudill, Jackson Rose, and 2 nephews, Jason and Joel Strange along with numerous cousins.

Due to Marguerite's wishes, there will be no service.
