Marguerite Mulloy Beyersdorf
Marguerite Mulloy Beyersdorf was born in Terry, Montana April 20, 1922 to John William Mulloy and Laura Agnes Maber Mulloy. She died on September 7, 2022 at the age of 100!
She married Curtis Alexander Beyersdorf on June 8, 1946, in St. Augustine's Church in Spokane, WA. She attended St. Catherine University, St. Paul Minnesota and graduated in Montessori Education 1942. She then earned a Bachelor's degree in 1945 from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Later she did Graduate studies at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. 1957-1962, and Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. 1977.
She then taught at The Jr Military Academy in Chicago Illinois 1943, the English, History, Physical Education at Fairfield, WA. 1945-46 and finally in the Mead School District 1958-1976, fourth, sixth and seventh grade levels. Marguerite became an avid volunteer starting in 1950 with the Good Shepherd Auxiliary, Parent Teacher Association of Finch School, she organized a parent education program in St. Charles Parish, was a Campfire leader, Grand Regent of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Daughters (serving as a State Officer) and at SCAN as parent child mentor and speaker in Spokane, Stevens and Whitman Counties on Child Abuse. She was Parolee mentor, volunteer at the Spokane Blood Bank canteen and a 5-gallon donor. She worked with Spokane Inland Northwest Community Foundation 8 years, Miryams House, Dominican Foundation 5 years. She also Supported Transitions (women & children), Morning Star Boys Ranch (young men)
Marguerite was a lifetime member of WEA-R, State officer and Communications Chair, NEA-R, AAUUS. She's listed in several editions of Who's Who.
Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Wright, Oracle, Arizona. , grandsons Trevor Alexander Wright (Elizabeth) Great grandchildren; Dalton Curtis Wright, Paige Madison Wright, St. Louis, Missouri, Colin David Wright and Barry Michael Wright of Olympia, WA. Also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Marguerite requested no services. Private interment will be at the Chattaroy Cemetery in the Owen plot.
