Obituary

Luis Alberto Ramos, Age 72, Newport Washington, passed due to complications caused by illness on Tuesday February 27, 2024. Luis was born February 18, 1952 in Puerto Rico to his mother Rosa Soto-Ramos and his father Isaac Ramos. He grew up in Puerto Rico with his 7 siblings. At 20 years old he moved to the main United States finding work in Miami Florida. He would continue utilizing his technical ability and work ethic to secure positions in New York, Massachusetts, Wyoming, Texas and California. He would meet the mother of his first and only child, Joann Nick (Augustine) in 1980. When his daughter, Nicole Marie Augustine, was born November 14, 1982, Luis committed his life to never leaving her and he remained in Washington for the remainder of his years. His first natural born Grandson was named after him, Estevon Luis Garcia, and was born on May 26, 2014. He became an integral part of all who entered his life including Nicole's siblings Haley, Byson, Stormy, and Sky Pagaling and many others. He would become a grandfather to all of Estevon's cousins including Avery Thompson, Kobe, Breezy, Roman & Jaden Pagaling, Cecelia and Preston Pagaling and Piper and Danielle Lemery, Cassidy, Honisty, and Jason Florea. He was kind, hard-working and ornery, which only added to his charm. He showed love through his cooking and sense of humor. His legacy lies in his daughter, his grandchildren, friends and family. Luis Ramos will be remembered for the love he shared with all in his life. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday March 5 at 2:00pm at Sherman-Campbell Funeral Services, 423 w Second St, Newport, WA 99156. The burial to follow at the Newport Cemetery.
