PRIEST RIVER

Obituary

Linda Mae Thomason, 72, passed away on March 16, 2026.

Linda was born September 14, 1953, to Floyd Ervin Howell and Inez Mae Streets in Maquoketa, Iowa. Floyd remarried Nyla when Linda was eight years old, and Nyla became her Mom.

Linda married Jay Louis Thomason and had three children: Sam, Jay, and Tanya. She was a grandmother to four: Christopher, Eli, Jasper, and Austin; and a great-grandmother to five: Kaleb, Malaki, Adalee, Uziah, and Magnolia. She had ten siblings: Tolly, Julie, Darla, Shari, Rod, Mari, Dave, Nancy, Donna, and Jackie.

She lived for the Lord and for her family, always putting everyone before herself. She loved and forgave with her whole heart, trusting in Jesus for everything. She had immense compassion for the hurting and the needy. She was also stubborn and ornery, which is what kept her going.

Family time was always where her heart was. She enjoyed the days when family would come together to make memories. Whether it was holidays, birthdays, shopping, going to the lake, having a BBQ, or just sitting under a shade tree or on the porch, time spent together meant everything to her. She also enjoyed watching movies and playing games on her laptop.

She wanted everyone to know that she held no ill feelings toward anyone; she forgave and loved everyone. She hoped that everyone would love the Lord and each other, always being willing to pray for and find forgiveness for one another. She hoped to see us all again in heaven.

She always said she was going to live until the Rapture. She made it to 3/16.... John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

A memorial service will be held on May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Parkside Church in Newport, Washington (1428 W. 1st Street).
