It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Lesley Ann Cody, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lesley passed peacefully on May 18,2025 at the age of 86. Born on April 21,1939 in Ione, WA, Lesley was the only child of Leslie Amos Rohlf and Thelma Irene Rohlf, and half-sister to Lois (Rohlf) Belden. She grew up in Metaline Falls, WA, and graduated from Metaline Falls High School in 1957.  Lesley attended Washington State University, studying early childhood education. She married John Craig (Jack) Cody in 1960 and spent 24 years as an Air Force wife, loving the many adventures and experiences that military life provided.  Her greatest joy came from caring for her family and bringing people together. Her years spent in Okinawa Japan gave her a love for the culture, taking cooking classes and traveling to various cities in Japan.  In 1983, Lesley attended Sierra College (Rocklin, CA) and entered the workforce as a bookkeeper in 1984.   Upon her retirement in 2001, Lesley moved back to her childhood home in Metaline Falls.  She enjoyed her time volunteering in the office of the Cutter Theater and supporting the various productions and activities they hosted. She felt fortunate to indulge her love of travel with a trip to China and an Alaskan Cruise. She spent many winters in California with her daughter and grandchildren. In 2017 Lesley moved to assisted living in Colville WA and then in 2021 to assisted living in Newport WA. Lesley lived a life full of grace, compassion, and strength. She was a devoted mother to her children. She will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering support, and her incredible ability to make everyone feel at home. Whether through her home-cooked meals, heartfelt advice, or quiet acts of kindness, she touched many lives and created lasting memories for all who knew her. She is survived by her children: Craig L. Cody (Nancy) of Mill Creek WA and Jill Ann Winsor (Raymond) of Diamond Lake WA, her grandchildren: Ryan Winsor (Ashlea), Ashley Brown (Jonathon), and Tyler Cody, and 5 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cutter Theatre in Metaline Falls WA, an organization close to Lesley's heart.
