Obituary

Kevin Austin Clark passed into life eternal on December 12, 2023. He was born the youngest of five siblings to Dewey and Judy Clark on March 1, 1972, at Bonner General in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Kevin was led to the Lord by his mother around the age of five and was a faithful witness until the end. He went to grade school on Idaho Hill and High School in Priest River.

Kevin worked as a Sawyer in the woods for various logging companies and independently in tree trimming and removal. He enjoyed artistically expressing himself with unique wood pieces creating tables, lamps and benches. Kevin loved being in the woods and continued getting firewood until he was no longer able to drive.

He was friends with many people in the area and was always willing to lend a helping hand, often contributing to the welfare of others around him.

Kevin had a great sense of humor and his friends and family welcomed it at every occasion. At holidays, he and his brother, Darrin, would have the family rolling in laughter with "Dewey-isms", kitty cat videos, or anything else that struck him as funny. His last Thanksgiving was no exception.

Kevin helped to care for his mother who lived in his house next door until her death last year. He kept up the yard and garden, brought in wood and kept the fire going in exchange for a home cooked meal or fresh baked cookies.

The pride and joy of his life were his two daughters, Trystan Potter and Jessica Hankey, and the young man he considered as his own, Dylan Herman and his family.

Kevin and Melody Potter were rekindling their love for each other and building a relationship when he was diagnosed with melanoma. She loved him, stood by him, and helped him through the appointments, frustration, pain and sleepless nights until his death, along with his best friend, Tom Burns.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his family, as well as his siblings, Linda (Ken) Headrick, Laura (Jerry) Whitehouse, Leanne (Dave) Hamilton, Darrin (Sheila) Clark, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and greats.
