Kenneth Patrick Percival was born in Leicester, England on March 17, 1942 to Thomas and Olive (Ball) Percival.  He was the youngest of 3 children. After leaving school at age 16, Ken started working construction and running heavy equipment and cranes.  He worked for many companies and eventually started his own crane rental company.

In 1976, Ken and his brother Michael came over to Spokane, WA on a vacation to visit their sister Mary.  During his visit his sister introduced him to Shirley.  Ken went back to England for a short while and then returned to Spokane.  Ken and Shirley were married on November 4, 1977.

Ken was a proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for 43 years.  He worked on projects in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana.  He worked for various union contractors but spent the majority of his time working for Aztech Electric.

In 1998 Ken & Shirley moved to their property at Tiger.  Ken loved the fact that his son and his family lived close to him.  He loved watching his grand kids grow up.

On November 14, 2021, Ken passed away unexpectedly at his home at Tiger, WA surrounded by family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael, sister Mary, and nephew Tom.  He is survived by his wife Shirley of 44 years, stepchildren Chris (Laura) Lacroix of Spokane, Stephen (Debbie) Lacroix of Spokane, Chad (Suanne) Lacroix of Post Falls, ID, and Gordy (Linda) Lacroix of Madison, AL, his son Dax (Roslynn) Percival of Tiger, WA, grandchildren Ashley, Coby, and Alyssa, and great granddaughter Brynlee.  He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial will be held at the Ione Baptist Church, 124 Main St, Ione, WA  99139 on Saturday December 4, 2021 at 11 A.M.  There will be a potluck afterwards in the building next to the church.
