Kathleen Jeanette Sedlacek, 77, passed peacefully November 1,2021, at her home in Oldtown, Idaho with her husband and daughters at her side.
She was born August 21,1944, in Seattle, WA to Durwood and Dorothy (Sorkness) Hacklander, the third of four children. Her family lived in Seattle, WA, Spirit Lake, Idaho, Oldtown, Idaho & finally found their permanent home in Priest River, Idaho.
She graduated from Priest River Lamanna High School in 1962. She married Robert Joseph Sedlacek October 13, 1962 in Newport, WA. They just celebrated their 59 th anniversary.
Kathy is survived by her husband Robert, two daughters, Lisa (Bill) Kaley, Tracy Stelow; son Mick (Windy) Rodriguez and 7 grandchildren Dr. Rheanna Kathleen Kaley, PhD, Jake Kaley, Cole Stelow, Ryan Stelow, Joey (Rina) Rodriguez, Mickey (Matt) Cords & Stephen Rodriguez; sister, Sharon (Kurt) Blume; brother, Roger (Marla) Hacklander; many Nieces & Nephews and three great grandchildren Kameron Cords, Kennie Cords & Karter Cords.
She was a homemaker for many years until her youngest child was in school and started working part time at Seebers Drug where she worked for 36 years.
Her interests included family, gardening, sewing, collecting antiques and reading. She loved her animals and had horses growing up as well as many dogs & cats over the years. Everyone that knew her knows she loved Coffee!! Kathy devoted much time volunteering at the Idaho Hill Elementary School when her grandchildren attended there. When she retired from Seebers she volunteered at the Family Crisis Network in Newport, WA.
She was preceded in death by her son Daniel in 1983, parents Durwood in 1983 & Dorothy Hacklander in 1989, brother Ralph Hacklander in 2006, and many other family members through the years including four this year.
A Celebration of Life will take place in 2022 and will be announced at a later date. Memories can be mailed to Bob Sedlacek, P.O. Box 613, Newport, WA, 99156.
