"Her children rise up and call her blessed." Proverbs 31:28a
Judy was born to William Ray Sitton and Clara Estelle Little Sitton on December 5, 1938, in Republic, WA. The family moved to Spring Valley and she went to grade school and high school in Newport.
She married Jesse Roland Klotzer in 1958 and had three daughters. Later she married Dewey Austin Clark and they had two sons. Judy was a loving and caring wife and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She loved to garden, was a wonderful cook, and earned a baking degree from the Community Colleges of Spokane.
Judy held several jobs, but her favorite and most recent was at Audrey's Restaurant where she was the prep cook and baker until she retired at age 72. She loved her friends at Audrey's and considered them family. Judy maintained many friendships in the community and was preceded in death by her long-time friend and fellow cook, Annie Burns.
Judy is also preceded in death by her parents, four siblings (Mary Murphy, Bill Sitton, Janice Triplett, and Karen Sitton), and six half-siblings (Phillip "Buck" Schuster, Ray Schuster, Jeanne Hill, Melva "Peggy" Martin, Marie Lane, Laura Schuster) from Clara's previous marriage to William Wilson Schuster. Judy is survived by her daughter Linda (Kenneth) Headrick, their three daughters Judie Headrick, Machelle (Troy) Harris, and Kendra Mendoza, and their children; her daughter Laura (Jerry) Whitehouse, their two sons Christopher (Laura) Whitehouse and Michael Whitehouse, and their children; Leanne (Dave) Hamilton, and their children and grandchildren; her son Darrin (Sheila) Clark, their sons Kyle (Opal) Clark and Colton (Amber) Clark; her son Kevin (Melody Potter) Clark and two daughters Trystan Potter and Jessica "Jay" (Asher) Hankey-Clark. Judy also has many cousins that she was still close with.
Judy's memorial will be held at Newport First Baptist Church on January 7, 2023, at 11:00 am with a potluck to follow.
