Joseph Ben Machen died Monday, August 12, 2019 of a heart attack.  He was 48 years old.  He was born on May 18, 1971, in Anaconda, Montana to Floyd and Marleen Machen.  Joe was the 10 ^th child in a family of 12.  He was raised in Anaconda and Stevensville, Montana.  He was married to Melanie Lyon on December 15, 1990.  Joe went to several Tech schools to become a diesel mechanic.  He lived and worked in Utah for 21 years. Joe had many health issues throughout his life.  He was divorced and moved to Priest River, ID in 2010 where he lived for the last 9 years.

Joe was a dedicated Oakland Raiders fan and a lover of all things NASCAR, Sci-Fi, and Star Wars (Darth Vader being his favorite). Animals were a big part of his life. Joe also love his family and was a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews.  He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, at 2 p.m. at the LDS chapel in Priest River. Sherman-Campbell Funeral and Cremation Services in Priest River, ID is in charge of arrangements.  Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at shermancampbell.com
