John Larry Sitton was born in Bonners Ferry, ID on 11-20-1936. He passed away at the age of 84 at Newport Community Hospital on 6-11-2021.

John resided in Usk, WA which is where he retired from Convoy Company/Ryder where he worked for more than 30 years. He had previously worked on the railroad and was a logger, then began driving truck.

John was a member of the Masonic Temple where he attended meetings locally in past years. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union.

John was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman. He took numerous nephews and grandchildren hunting. He loved and respected the outdoors. Hobbies aside John enjoyed nothing more than family and friends.

In 1955 John married his first wife Rosemary McDonough and they had 2 children together. He later married Earlene Haight in 1994, she preceded him in death.

John is survived by his 2 children Johnny Sitton Jr. of Mead, WA and Kathy Johnson of Liberty Lake, WA.

He was the son of Loren (Tot) and Melva Sitton who preceded him in death. John is also survived by 3 grandchildren Charlie Sitton of Belfield, ND, Kara Martin of Seattle, WA and Kylie Peterson of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by 6 siblings: Rosa Buck, Loren (Tuffy) Sitton, Glenda Eads, Gileel Persyn, and Tudy Smith. He was preceded in death by 1 brother Charles Sitton.

John is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren who he loved dearly.

John's service and reception to follow will be held at Sherman-Campbell Funeral home in Newport, WA on 6-17-2021 at 11:00 am.
