Janice Vera
"Daley" Watson
Jun 19, 1950 — Oct 2, 2024
Blanchard
Janice Vera Daley was born on June 19, 1950, to Verna and Gordon Daley in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her brother, Grant Daley, of Gleichen, Alberta, and her sister, Lenore Davis, of Acme, Alberta. She leaves behind her beloved children: Brice Sheltens of Calgary, Alberta; Deanne Fagin of Lethbridge, Alberta; Travis Sheltens of Airdrie, Alberta; and Jolene Sheltens, also of Airdrie, Alberta. She is also survived by her cousin Rick Daley of Radville, Saskatchewan, along with many cherished grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
On September 27, 1997, Janice married Auggie Watson in Blanchard, Idaho, and the couple later celebrated their union again on December 12, 1997, in Calgary, Alberta. Through this marriage, Janice gained more family, including Suzzie Price of Spokane, WA; Auddan Watson of Salem, OR; and Surran Bailey of Spangle, WA, as well as their families.
Janice had a passion for music and loved to sing, sharing her voice in the Airdrie Community Choir, as well as performing alongside her husband at church and senior centers. Her creative talents extended to sewing, afghan-making, cross-stitch, crochet, needlepoint, quilting, and dressmaking, all of which she thoroughly enjoyed.
An avid reader, Janice devoured one to two books each week. She also loved the great outdoors, often spending time camping and traveling. Her love for conversation made silence her least favorite companion, as she was always ready for a lively chat. For 18 years, she worked as a receptionist and accounts receivable clerk, bringing warmth and professionalism to her workplace.
Janice's devotion to God and her involvement in His work were central to her life, and she found great fulfillment in serving her faith.
