Janet Lee Sherman O'Daniell passed away unexpectedly at her home in Spokane, WA on July 1, 2023.

Janet was born in Newport, WA on February 17, 1955.  She was the daughter of David and Phyllis Sherman, both lifelong residents of Newport and Pend Oreille County.  She graduated from Newport High School in 1973 and went on to receive her nursing degree from the Community Colleges of Spokane.  She worked as a registered nurse for many years both in Spokane, WA and in her hometown of Newport.

Janet is survived by her 94 year old mother, Phyllis Sherman, of Newport, her daughter Kristen Horlacher (Sven) of Spokane, son Rick Hughes (Marie) of Newport, brother Rick Sherman (Teresa) of Spokane, three grandchildren (Lilly, Berg, Dylan), and a nephew (Kyle) and niece (Kendra).

A private family service will be held at a later date.
