James King Pearson
Born December 6, 1933 in Ashville, Alabama
Died at 92 years of age, July 19, 2026
Graduated from Capitol Hill High School, Oklahoma City, OK
Jim was preceded in death by his father James Harvey Pearson, his
mother Virginia Mae Milam and siblings Darryle, Robert, Gene, Archie,
Margaret, Eleanor and Jo
Jim was married for 66 years to the love of his life, Judith A. Brockett
Jim is survived by his wife, 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren

Daughter- Cindy
Son- Jon and daughter-in-law Kristie Pearson
Daughter- Melinda and son-in-law Brian Dodds
Grandchildren- Andrew, Brynn, Collin, Evan, Connor, Kylee, Kate, David, Madison, Callan and Delaney
AND many nieces and nephews that called him their favorite 'Uncle King'

Affectionately known as "King" to family and 'McGyver' at work, Jim
was a man of many talents with
a generous spirit. Whether he was camping, gathering with
family, or tinkering in the shed—because if it was broken, he could
fix it— he was always in his element. He loved riding his tractors,
attending livestock auctions, attending high school sports,
rescuing animals (both wild and domestic) and spending time with his
best friend a black lab named Kebo. Above all, he appreciated a good
joke and took immense pride in maintaining his signature handlebar
mustache.

Shortly after graduation, King answered the call of duty, honorably
serving two years in the U.S. Army. Upon completing his service, he
headed to Eureka, California, to work in logging alongside his
brothers. He later moved to Pinedale with his family and his mother.
It was there that Judy's best friend
introduced her to a handsome "lumberjack"—and for King and Judy, it
was love at first sight.

King and Judy were married in 1960 in Fresno, CA. They bought property
and had a ranch house built in Fresno in 1963, with plenty of room for
horses, cows and pigs.  Family always loved to visit. After many
years, they sold the property in Fresno and bought property in Madera
and farmed raisins for 30 years.

Jim (King) retired from Pacific Gas & Electric after 56 years where he
was an electrician, foreman and inspector. His co-workers nicknamed
him 'McGyver' for his talent to fix anything.
Ready for cooler weather, they headed to Priest River and found a
beautiful piece of property in
the woods.  They had a small house built and went on to add 2 cabins
to host their kids, grandkids and great grandkids!  It's been a
wonderful place to spend happy times together including holding a
wedding. Jim (King) cherished his neighbors and Priest River friends.

What a wonderful and full life he lived. Those who crossed his path
were lucky to call him a friend, and WE are so proud to call him the
father of our family. He will forever live in our hearts, and we will
carry a part of him with us everywhere we go.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, July 27th at 11AM located at Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River, Idaho.
