Harold William Maycumber Jr. (Bill)

Bill passed from this life into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on October 31, 2021, in Spokane, Washington.

He was born on August 29, 1955, in Paola, Kansas.

He married Joan Shoop on April 30, 1983.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother Shirley Brewer Maycumber.

He is survived by:

Wife, Joan of Usk, Washington,

Father, Harold (Carol) of Astoria, Oregon,

Brother, Phil (Janelle) of Flagstaff, Arizona,

Sisters, Jill Foster (Brent) of Woodburn, Oregon,

Ann Frisque (Curtis) of Usk, Washington,

and also, numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces.

At the age of 8, Bill moved from Kansas with his family to Oregon. He graduated in 1973 from Molalla High School, attended Prairie Bible Institute, and Ecola Bible School. He and Jona moved to the Usk area in 1995 and lived there until his death.  He was a millworker in Molalla, Oregon, for 17 years, built and managed Pend Oreille Bible Camp for 12 years, drove truck in North Dakota and Washington State.

Bill enjoyed singing with his family, camping, hunting, motorcycles; building and riding them, restoring vehicles and building his home.

It gave him great joy to build a Bible camp knowing that young people would be introduced to Jesus Christ and challenged to follow Him.

The most important decision in his life was the day, as a young child, he prayed and asked Jesus Christ to come into his life to be his Lord and Savior.

Bill loved family and friends well and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, November 6, 2021, 10 AM at Pineridge Community Church in Newport, Washington.
