Gregory Alan Best of Newport Peacefully, Gregory "Greg" Alan Best, 83, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by his family September 18, 2025. He was a loving husband who recently celebrated 65 years with his wife, Shirley. He leaves behind his three children: Doug (Susan), Danielle (Dan) Massie, Mathew (Nicole), and six grandchildren.

Greg spent his early years in southern California where he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Shirley. They began their life together in Santa Maria, CA and later moved to Fremont, CA where Greg became a dental technician and they began their family. In 1978, he relocated his family to Newport, WA where he opened his own dental laboratory; for the next 40 years, he operated a successful business. Greg also loved gardening, reading, and high-performance cars.

There will be a celebration of life at the home for family members and close friends
