Gerry was the middle brother of five boys, Don, Richard, Gerry, Bob and Wendell, several years later they had a sister, Lynda Sala.
Gerry lived in Northern California most of his early life. His father was a musician and a house painter so they moved around a lot. He went to 27 schools in 9 1/2 years, two of those schools for only one day.
Gerry spent four years in the Navy from 1961 to 1965. He was exposed to a lot of radiation in the South Pacific during operation Dominic. Years later he developed Acute Promyletic Leukemia from that exposure but survived!
He started working at age twelve doing many types of jobs. He was a machinist for twenty years. He also owned and operated an appliance repair business. He retired in 2006.
He was a faithful Christian and a committed member of the Spirit Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Driver, siblings: Don Driver (Rosario), Bob Driver (Kat), Wendell Driver (Wanda) and Lynda (DeMille) Sala; daughters: Tania Schmidt, Brandi Driver and Heidi Wolcott; Step children: Jason Johnson (Olivia), Davena Johnson, Delia Vickers, Dianna Rainey (Russ), and Didi Reeves; twelve grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
