Gary Gene Carson, age 80, of Priest River, Idaho has passed away peacefully in his home on March 24, 2025.

Gary was born in Eugene, OR, October 23, 1944 to Chester Clay Carson and Gladys Rose Mein.

Gary was a proud member of the United States Navy. A mountain man who enjoyed to hunt, fish, and pick huckleberries. He enjoyed traveling and experiencing all the wonderful things life had to offer. Never known to turn down a good margarita and a game of pool. Easily found at a campfire telling stories and enjoying the stars.

Survived in life by his children: Robin Carson, Chad Carson, and April Carson.  .His stepchildren: David Wilson, Brayden Wilson, and Trysta Wilson. His siblings: Dick Carson, Zane Carson, Pete Beers and Darlene Blankenship. His 9 grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by his parents, his son Shane Carson, his brothers Larry, Lawrence, Sonny, Phillip, and Jerry Lee, and his sisters Loraine and Phyllis.

He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will forever be missed and our memories always cherished.
