Ernst Westphal was born on September 20, 1931

and went home to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021.

He is survived by his wife Riet of 63 years and 5 children.

Angela (Steve) MacNeil Ephrata WA,

Birgitta (Steve) Lynch Diana TX,

Mark (Penny) Westphal Priest River ID and

Susan (Kevin) Fisher Oldtown ID.

He also has 25 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

He moved to the Cusick area in the Fall of 1979.

Over the years he was involved with the local church and community events.

Helping to establish the youth soccer program, volunteering with Awana's and

working at the Cusick School District as a teacher's aide kept him busy working with the younger generation and volunteering at the PO County Fair, singing with the Cantata and having weekly bible studies at the local rest home amongst other things kept him in touch with everyone else.

After retiring, he had more time to do the Lord's work.

Being a deacon at the Pend Oreille Bible Church

and being a member of the Gideon's gave him many opportunities to share the good news.

Ernie slowed down a bit at the end but lived a very good 89 years.

He was very loved and will be missed by many.
