Eric R. Lunden was born April 22, 1958.  He passed away December 25, 2020.  Eric is a graduate of Newport High School.  He attended Washington State University, Spokane Falls Community College and finally graduated from Eastern Washington University.  After years of various jobs and employment he found his way to education.  He taught in the West Valley School system from 2007-2012. He was forced to medically retire.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lois Lunden.  He is survived by his father George L. Lunden of Newport, WA, his sister Karen, her husband Frank of Yorktown, VA, nieces Kristin, of Northern Virginia where she works as a Mechanical engineer, and Katharine, currently a Cadet at the United States Air Force Academy. He is also survived by 8 cousins.

Special thanks to cousin Perry Freeman for taking on the role of care taker.  Without him his family would have been lost.

Thanks go to the staff of Crescent Health care in Yakima, where he has lived for the past few years. Thanks to his neighbor Jean Kock for her visits and tending to his needs.

Eric was blessed beyond his comprehension. No service will be held at this time.  He will be interred in Newport, forever under the watchful eye of his Mom.
