Eileen Kay Wallace (76) of Chattaroy, Washington passed away in the afternoon hours of Wednesday,
June 22, 2022, in Spokane Valley Washington.
Eileen was born May 9, 1946, in Oskaloosa, Iowa the daughter of Ross and Irene Cox. Eileen grew up in
the Bussey Iowa area attending both Bussey and Twin Cedars schools. After graduating High School in
1964, Eileen attended the Midwestern School of Evangelism where she met Donald Henry of Cozad

Eileen and Donald were married and lived in Tucson Arizona where they had two children, Jeffrey Henry
and Jennifer Schroeder. The family lived in the Tucson area until 1974, when they drove up to Spokane
Washington to see Expo '74, Spokane's World's Fair. They stayed with members of the local Church of
Christ fell in love with the area, and never left. They lived in Spokane for a few years before buying a
farm in Deer Park Washington.
Eileen moved back to Spokane in 1978 and she remained devoted to her kids. Eileen was involved with
school functions and PTA, supporting her kids with their sports and school activities. Eileen loved to
camp and go to the Washington and Oregon coasts, she always made sure her kids had their own type
of adventure from camping in the Woodland Zoo parking lot in the Seattle area to salmon fishing and
dune buggy riding at the Oregon coast.
Eileen and James (Jim) Wallace met when she owned her own Secretarial Service and was a property
Manager for commercial property in downtown Spokane, they married on 11/25/1994. Jim was devoted
to Eileen and they truly loved each other. The couple would vacation in the Long Beach area on the
Washington coast, at least once a year.
Eileen was a doting and attentive grandmother to her three granddaughters, Makenna, Meghan, and
Kortney. She would get confused trying to call to them all, so she just called them "Makorghan", the girls
loved it. She babysat all of the girls when they were younger and truly enjoyed "grandma" time. As the
girls got older, Eileen supported the girls with whatever she could, attending activities or just a phone
call from grandma.

Eileen is survived by her son Jeff Henry, his wife Jennifer, daughter Makenna Pelletier and her husband
