Edward Samuel Zupich was born on August 14, 1945, and raised in Irvona, PA. He passed away in Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane with his wife, daughter, and son at his bedside on May 5, 2023, at the age of 77. Ed was a retired Liquor Control Enforcement Agent with the Pennsylvania State Police, Master Sergeant with the Air National Guard, and an Air Force Veteran. During retirement, he served his community tirelessly as an active member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Cemetery District, and Veteran's Assistance Program. When he wasn't helping others, he spent his time hunting, fishing, and enjoying the company of friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward Joseph and Imogene Mary Zupich as well as eight aunts and uncles. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Jill Zupich, son Matthew Zupich, daughter Carisa Himes, (Robert), sister Doris Walter (Daniel), sister-in-law Jeanne Kendall (Richard), and two grandchildren Robert and Alia. He also leaves seven aunts and uncles, and five nieces and nephews.
A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Reciting the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 4:30 p.m.) at Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home in Newport, WA. Ed's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Newport. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send a donation to the Knights of Columbus, Catholic Charities, and/or the American Legion in his memory. We love you and will miss you!
