Duane E. Schofield passed away on April 29th, 2024 in Cusick, WA. He was born on June 1, 1947 to Adrian and Annice Schofield in Newport, Washington. He had two older sisters and two younger brothers living on a small farm outside of Usk, attending grades K-12 at Cusick, and attending classes at Gonzaga in Spokane, graduating in 1970 with an engineering degree and a ROTC commission into the Transportation Corp of the US Army, and eventually graduating from Gonzaga Law School.

His friends in Cusick and Spokane will miss his positive and humorous wit. He tried to stay involved in his community, really caring about others and doing things right. He is survived by his sibling Glen J. Schofield, his children James, Lindy, and Christi, two grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial graveside service will be held at Newport Cemetery in Newport, WA on Friday June 28th at 10:30 AM.
