C. Duane Randolph was born September 3, 1937 to Dale and Dorris Randolph. Duane spent his early childhood in Montana until they moved out to the Randolph family ranch in Newport in 1951. Duane graduated from Newport High School in 1955 where he was active on the boxing and basketball teams.

Duane met the love of his life and married his high school sweetheart, Judy Davaz, on April 9, 1957.  They had three children together, Loren, Dale, and Terry.  Duane was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1957.  Afterwards, he began his trucking career in 1957.  He was a well-known respected truck driver.  If someone needed something difficult done, they knew exactly who to call.

He was an avid trap shooter most of his life, winning many awards and accolades. He was a lifetime member of the Newport Gun Club, NRA, and the Asphalt Angels.  Duane was an active member of the community.  He participated in numerous Timber Days as an owner and operator of a truck and then by driving the Jr. Miss in the parade in his 1980 yellow Mercedes.  He was well-known to share a cup of coffee at Burger Express with his friends and family.  His family and the Priest River Community will continue to cherish so many memories of his life. His family will miss him dearly and will love him always.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He is survived by his wife of 63 loving years, Judy, two sons: Dale Randolph of Henderson, Nevada and Terry Randolph of Priest River, Idaho.  He is also survived by his three grandchildren:  Craig Randolph, Michelle Willis (Brett), and Ashley Fleury (Salem), all of Henderson, Nevada.  He is preceded in death by his parents Dale and Dorris Randolph; brothers Darrel and Dell Randolph; and his son Loren Randolph.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations to the Priest River Animal Shelter would honor Duane.
