"Jeff" Nelson

Oldtown

Jeff passed away on May 29, 2022. He was born October 27, 1955 to Melva and Delbert

Nelson. A lifelong resident of Oldtown, Jeff graduated from Newport High School then enlisted

in the Navy. He retired from the Postal Service as a rural mail carrier for the Newport post office.

Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and all outdoor activities. In later years he enjoyed just

taking drives in the country with his dog and faithful companion, Buck.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Melva Nelson. He is survived by his wife, Rose;

children Tracey (Matt) Earle, Jeffery (Crystal) Nelson, Bob Nelson; grandchildren Klaryssa, D.J.,

Addisen, Rikki, Bryson, Crystal, Gage and Kyra. He is also survived by his father Delbert

Nelson; sisters Kathy Scott, Colleen (Wade) Shepherd; brother John (Ruth) Nelson; also,

numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeff will be missed by all but will live in our hearts

forever.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on June 8, 2022 at the Newport Cemetery.
