Diane M. Gerking sadly, peacefully passed away on January 6th, 2024, at Newport Hospital where she was surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 7th, 1942, in Walla Walla, WA to Clifford and Eunice Ruley.

Diane graduated from Walla Walla High School in June 1959.  In 1965, after attending Washington State University she met the love of her life Marvin at the Prospect Point Grange.  They were married on April 23rd, 1966, and spent 57 wonderful years together.  They spent the early years of their marriage in Walla Walla, WA, Hepner, OR, Sitka, AK and finally a temporary 47-year move to Blanchard ID where she spent many happy years.

Diane was an active member of The Order of the Eastern Star in Newport, WA and Priest River, ID, where she served as Worthy Matron for the two chapters, Deputy Instructor for the state of Washington, and Grand Ada 2004 – 2005 for the state of Idaho.

Diane is survived by her husband Marvin J. Gerking, sister Doreen Teall, son Allan J. Gerking, Daughter Julie Gerking Wylie, Grandchildren Cory (Rhianna Knorr) & Trevor Wylie, Joel Miler, Daughter-in-law Melissa Gerking, Son in law Robert Bockemuehl , great-grandchildren Logan & Gabriella Wylie

Service for Diane will be held at Newport, WA Community Church, 430 W 3rd Street Newport, WA 99156 Saturday, January 13th at 10:00 am.
