Dennis G. McMann

Dennis G. McMann, 85, of Newport, Washington, passed away on November 3, 2026. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Dennis will be remembered for his humor, caring heart, and lifelong dedication to his family and work.

Born in Spokane, Washington, on September 27, 1941, to Liliana Alice Finnila and Walter Gravin McMann, Dennis grew up in the Sacheen Lake area near Newport. His love for the lake remained an important part of his life.

Dennis worked as a pipefitter and proudly served as president of UA Local 44 Plumbers & Steamfitters. He loved his profession and took great pride in his work, earning a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Dennis shared 58 years of marriage with his first wife, Janice McMann, who passed away in 2020. Together, they raised three children: Jill McMann, Brenda McMann, and Gregory McMann.

In May 2022, Dennis married Celia Starkel. Their marriage brought two stepchildren into his life, Karen Herrera and Cesar Herrera, who loved him very much. His family also includes 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dennis enjoyed building things, spending time by the lake, and his cars. Above all, he treasured time with his family. He was happiest enjoying life’s simple pleasures—a warm day at the beach, a cold beer, and the company of those he loved. His sense of humor brought laughter to those around him, and his caring nature will remain a cherished memory.

Dennis leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will miss him deeply. He will be lovingly remembered as a funny, hardworking man who took pride in what he built and loved the people he shared his life with.

Dennis will be laid to rest on November 10, 2026, at 1:00 p.m at a Graveside Service held at Newport Cemetery in Newport, WA .
