Deloris (Dee) Churchill passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 3rd

at Life Care Center in Sandpoint. She was born February 6, 1929, in Mason City, Iowa.

She was the only child of Glenn and Mary Anderson.

Dee attended college for a year before meeting the love of her life, Harold Churchill.

They married on February 14, 1947, and lived in Sioux City, Iowa. Being an only child,

Dee always wanted to have a large family. She and Harold had 6 children. Dee was a

stay at home mom and homemaker, but she used her talents to help support the family.

She was a beautiful artist and seamstress. She sold her drawings to the Spiegel

catalog, and often did sewing and ironing for others to bring in some Christmas money.

In 1955, the Churchill family moved to Riverside, CA and resided there until they moved

to the Priest River area in February of 1969. Once settled, Dee jumped back in using

her sewing skills to help support her family. She worked for 9 years at Pacific Trail and

then at Serac until she retired in 1991.

Dee held many interests. She enjoyed painting, sewing, playing the saxophone, golf,

bowling, roller skating, and cross-country skiing. While she enjoyed her activities,

nothing compared to the joy she got when visiting with her family. Dee loved her large

family and attending family gatherings.

Dee is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold W. Churchill, son, Cliff

Churchill, daughter, Corrine Bidwell Walker, and grandson Fred Johnson. She is

survived by her children Cheryl Smith (Neal), Clint Churchill (Vicki), Carlene Needs

(Jeff), Clay Churchill (Barbara), 11 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great

grandchildren. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Service will be on Saturday July 27, 2024. Pot Luck at JJ's river lot. At 2:00pm.
