Obituary

Deborah Ann Stiles

August 13, 1956 – October 25, 2025

Deborah Ann Stiles, 69, of Newport, passed away peacefully on October 25th, 2025 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane. She was born in Yakima, Washington. Her family then moved to southern California. Debbie and David were raised by their mother in the San Fernando valley in the Los Angeles area of California. In 1969, Deborah and David moved with their mother back to Washington state, residing first in Oakesdale, Washington and then in Pullman and Spokane, Washington.

In Spokane, Debbie attended West Valley High School and graduated in 1974. Her father was also a graduate of West Valley High just after World War II. She attended Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College working towards an AAS degree in Computer Science and an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts/Business.

Debbie was employed by Hewlett Packard at Liberty Lake and Spokane. She held various positions there including technical data communications supervisor and manger roles.

Debbie's mother had purchased property near Diamond Lake in 1979. Debbie moved out to the property and took up residence there along with her mother and brother. She was caregiver to her mother in her later years.

Debbie was a 25-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Zillah chapter, and a Life Member awarded in 2021. She was also a member of the Pend Oreille chapter. Debbie was an Eastern Star Grand Representative to North Dakota in Idaho.

Deborah was proceeded in death by her father, Richard, of Pasadena, California, in 2006 and her mother, Diane, of Newport in 2018. She is survived by her brother, David, of Amboy, Washington and her beloved cat, Toes.

Debbie was a devoted sister and daughter and was always ready to help in any way. She overcame many very hard and trying years in her battle with cancer, which eventually took her life. Debbie's faith was strong as was her love for her family and friends. Her nature was one of giving to others. She will be missed very much, but we live with the sure knowledge that we will be reunited one day.
