David Steven Taylor was born on December 27th, 1955 and was raised by Gene and Elizabeth Taylor alongside his three brothers; John, Larry, and Garry Taylor, in Ione WA. As a child, Dave was inquisitive and creative and that continued throughout his entire life. He spent many hours building forts, creating art, and blowing up rockets alongside his brothers and with his childhood best friend, Ed Sheffler. In 1975, he graduated from Selkirk Highschool and on July 14th, 1979, He married Terri Lynn Sinn, also of Ione WA. Together they raised five children and spoiled twelve grandchildren; David and Hannah Taylor with 3 children, Beau and Brianna Taylor with 4 children, Ciara and Ryan Rogers with 3 children, Bailey Taylor and Heather Jefferson, and Tabitha and Jed Guilliams with 2 children. Dave spent his time building his family, his home, and a feeling of community everywhere he went. He loved painting, playing guitar, working on cars, building just about anything, and spending time with his wife, his kids, and his grandkids. Out of all of his many accomplishments, his family made him the most proud. Dave also had an incredible amount of unwavering faith and was very dedicated to studying scripture, spending time in prayer, sharing his faith, and attending the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He made a huge impression on so many. Truly, what a difference a Dave makes. Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home in Newport, WA is in charge of arrangements.
