David Lyn Holbrook 69 of Priest River Idaho, passed away unexpectedly on Monday July 1, 2024.

Dave was born on July 3, 1954 to Herbert and Mabel Holbrook in Newport WA. When Dave finished high school he enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. After Dave's service to our nation he worked for the forest service and then moved on to a lifetime career working for the City of Priest River, where he worked his way up to maintenance foreman. Dave worked for the City from September 1978 through May of 2013, 35yrs of public service in which he took pride in learning the ins and outs of the infrastructure and teaching those which followed in his footsteps.

Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and most of all spending time with his family barbecuing and sharing stories of his life. Dave leaves behind his wife of 46 years Sherry Holbrook, their children Micheal Boles, Monica Josh Howard, six grandchildren Kiara Howard, David Howard, Marshall Howard, Jazlyn Boles, Tearin Boles, Herbert Boles, Two great grand children Finnoula Holbrook and Mavis Bujko and Sister Joan Veltri along with many other family members.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother and father Mabel and Herbert Holbrook, sisters Janet Browning and Judith Stolz and brother Herbert Holbrook.

Grave side service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Saturday July 27, 2024 @ 1:00pm.
