David L. Bussler passed away on September 9, 2025, after a 6 year battle with cancer.

He was born on April 14, 1963 in Omak Washington to David & Joann Bussler. His family moved to Blanchard Idaho in 1976 where he attended Idaho Hill and Newport High School, where he graduated in 1981. David enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1983 serving 4 years and an additional 2 years in the Reserves.

David leaves behind his loving wife, Sandy Bussler, children; Bryce Howe and Shandell (Bussler) Lundin, grandchildren; Addison Howe and Kaija Lundin and son-in-law, Zach Lundin. As well as his mother, Joann Keeton, siblings; Jennifer Moriel, Jessie King and Daniel Bussler, plus several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Bussler Sr.

David enjoyed spending relaxing days fishing, 4-wheeler and motorcycle riding, and target practicing. He loved to spend time at the beach with Addison and Sandy during the summer months.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, integrity, and quiet strength. He was a man who valued sincerity, showed up for the people he cared about, and lived his life with purpose and heart. David's memorial service is there at Sherman Campbell funeral home in Newport on Friday,  Feb. 27th at 2 pm.
